Meditation Timer
This timer is designed to use the same signals (Taku blocks and bells) we use at the start and end of sit. The default sit time is 30 mins.
We tried to enable this to work on directly through the website, but Java has gotten seriously stringent in their security requirements, making this quite difficult, so now we offer a downloaded version
There are two files needed to download: The TimerArchive and the InstallTimer.
Click on each link, above, to download them. Because they are programs, you may get a warning that downloading executables is dangerous. Make sure you click whatever is needed for your browser, to save the files.
You can click the Install file directly from the bottom of some browsers, but they will probably make you specify that you know it's an unknown (so possibly dangerous) program. Otherwise, use a Windows Explorer window to find where they were downloaded (usually in the Downloads folder). For windows, simply click on InstallTimer to install.
You will get a popup window saying where the files will be loaded. If you change this location, the StartZen file on your desktop will need to be altered to reflect the changed location. This should work on most machines.
An icon will be placed on your desktop (StartZen) which can be used to run the timer.
